Our Story
VMW Express was originally founded in 1987 by our owners, Mike Malhani, Sohrab Bagheri, and Tony Miremadi. What started off as a small parcel and package delivery courier, has since grown, shifted, and evolved for the past 3 decades.

To meet the ever changing needs of our clients, we have evolved to where we are now, an asset-based regional carrier who services the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

VMW stands for Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. - which is still our core footprint for final-mile services.
Technology
At VMW Express, we are constantly evolving and improving, just like the world around us. We are always looking for new ways to improve our processes with technology.
Here are some of the new systems we have implemented:
Trimble TMS
With the goal of maximizing our operational capability and minimizing mistakes, we implemented Trimble TMS. One of the top Transportation Management Systems
Fleetio FMS
In order to manage of all of our equipment more efficiently, we implemented Fleetio FMS. The most widely recognized Fleet Management Software.
Geotab ELD
With the intent of not only staying compliant, but tracking, automating, and optimizing our fleet to its full potential. We installed Geotab, a leading fleet tracking and management system.
Our Team
Our Team, here at VMW Express, is composed of seasoned transportation managers, with over 100 combined years of diverse transportation experience.
We offer the best-in-class CDL & non-CDL drivers, all with many years of experience.
All drivers go through a selection process that includes multi-level interviews, MVR reviews, FBI background checks, drug & alcohol screens, and TSA testing.
